l lb. butter at room temperature
4 cups Flour
1 pinch Salt
1 tsp. Nutmeg
2 cups Sugar
1 tsp. Vanilla
3 Eggs


Mix all the ingredients together. Refrigerate over-night so you can roll them out very thin.


Preheat oven to 350°


The next day roll them out on floured pastry frame or counter and use your favorite cookie cutters to cut out.


1 Tbl. Lemon Juice
1 Egg White


Whisk together with a fork and brush on each cut out cookie then sprinkle with red and green sugars as you like.


Bake in a 350° oven for 8 minutes.
