Melt butter in small sauce pan over medium heat. Add heavy cream and cheese stiring constantly until cheese is melted and sauce is slightly thickened. Add salt and pepper to taste.

This sauce can be served over any style of pasta long or short but is most traditionally served with fettucini. I normally serve this dish with grilled or sauteed chicken, however, shrimp is wonderful as well.
