Ingredients:  
Ingredients:  
Loaf of French bread
6 eggs
2 cups 1/2 and 1/2 or whole milk
1/2 c sugar
1 T vanilla
Pinch of salt
2T sugar
2 cups of berries fresh or frozen

Syrup ingredients:
1 c karo syrup
1 c whipping cream
1 c sugar
1 t vanilla
Pinch of salt

Directions:
Directions:
Grease a 9x13 pan
Tear up bred into pieces
Beat together eggs and 1/2 and 1/2 sugar salt and vanilla till blended well
Pour over bread
Cover and refrigerate over night
An hour before baking remove from refrigerator
Top with fruit and sprinkle with sugar
Bake uncovered at 350 for 45 minutes
While baking make the syrup by placing syrup ingredients except salt and vanilla into a large pan and bring to a boil. Boil for 5 minutes. Add salt and vanilla
Pour 3/4 cup of syrup over the whole pan and set the remaining syrup out to drizzle as people want to on their plate
