1 pound lean ground beef
1/2 small white onion, minced
1 beef bouillon cube
1/2 cup water
2 TB brown sugar
1 TB Apple Cider Vinegar
2 TB Worchestershire Sauce
12 Slider buns (especially like Hawaiian Sweet buns)
1/3 cup dill pickle chips
6 slices American Cheese (I used Provolone)

Butter sauce: 1/2 cup melted butter
2 TB brown sugar
1 TB dijon mustard
1 TB Worchestershire sauce

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325º

Add meat & onion to a large skillet, break up meat as small as possible & cook until browned.
Drain off as much grease as possible, then add boullion, water, sugar ACV & W. sauce.
Bring to a boil then reduce heat & simmer until liquid is evaporated.

Place bun bottoms into the baking pan & cover with meat mixture. Place pickles on top then cover with cheese & top with bun tops.

In small bowl, whisk all butter sauce ingredients together, then brush over the buns.

Cover with foil & bake for 25 minutes

These are delicious. Nice alternative to usual sloppy joes.

Reminds me alot of Bill Thrasher's childhood Canteen sandwiches from Iowa
