1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. sugar
2 egg yolks
3 T. water
1 t. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 t. baking soda
2 t. baking powder
1/4 t. salt
1 - 12 oz. package chocolate chips
2 egg whites
1 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. chopped salted peanuts

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening with 1/2 c. brown sugar and white sugar. Blend in 2 egg yolks, vanilla and water. Sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Add to shortening mixture. Press into greased and floured 15 x 10 x 1" jelly roll pan. Sprinkle with chocolate chips, pressing gently into dough. Beat 2 egg whites until foamy. Gradually add 1 c. brown sugar, beating until stiff. Spread evenly over chocolate chips. Top with nuts. Bake at 325 for 30 - 35 minutes. Cut while still warm.
