Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 3/4 c cornstarch
1 c flour
1/2 c sugar
pinch of salt
1/4 c evaporated milk
1 1/4 c water
1 egg, beaten

Directions:
Directions:
Sift dry ingredients. In separate bowl mix milk, water, and egg. Put dry ingredients together with the liquid. Mix well but do not over mix. Batter should be thin enough to just coat the pretzel iron.
Heat oil for deep frying. When oil ready dip pretzel mold in hot oil then dip in batter 3/4 way up the mold. Place mold with batter in hot oil for 10 seconds before gently shaking mold to get batter off of mold. Let fry in hot oil until lightly brown then flip. After both sides brown, put on paper towel to drain excess oil and cool.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Pour some of the batter into a smaller container for dipping the hot iron. Old cool whip container worked perfectly for the traditional circular shape. Do not wash pretzel mold with water. Wipe clean after using and place in plastic bag for keeping to avoid rust.
