1 cup sugar
1/4 cup butter
1 egg
3 cups of peeled and diced apples
1 tsp vanilla (I substituted 1 Tbsp Cointreau... orange liquor)
1/4 cup nuts or raisins (optional)
1 cup flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg

3 Tbsp butter
3 Tbsp brown sugar



Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º.

Cream sugar and butter. Add egg and combine. Add rest of ingredients.

Put a bunt pan in oven with the 3 Tbsp of butter until melted. Sprinkle brown sugar over melted butter. Pour batter into pan.

Bake 30-45 minutes or until done. Cool 5 minutes on the counter and turn out onto a plate.
