1 cup sugar
1/4 cup butter
1 egg
3 cups of peeled and diced apples
1 tsp vanilla (I substituted 1 Tbsp Cointreau... orange liquor)
1/4 cup nuts or raisins (optional)
1 cup flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg

3 Tbsp butter
3 Tbsp brown sugar
Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º.

Cream sugar and butter. Add egg and combine. Add rest of ingredients.

Put a bunt pan in oven with the 3 Tbsp of butter until melted. Sprinkle brown sugar over melted butter. Pour batter into pan.

Bake 30-45 minutes or until done. Cool 5 minutes on the counter and turn out onto a plate.

Inez is a beautiful soul we knew at Calvary Bible Church. She and her sweet husband Ralph were faithful Christians and good friends. She remembered so many things the kids said and did that I never remembered.
