2 packages Dry Yeast
¼ cup of lukewarm Water
5 ½ cups Self Rising Flour
1 teaspoon Baking Soda
1 cup butter flavored Crisco
2 cups Buttermilk

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water. Set aside.
Sift flour, sugar and baking soda.
Add shortening using a pastry blender. Cut shortening into flour mixture until it is about the size of small peas.
Add yeast mixture and stir.
Add buttermilk and stir until blended.
Lightly grease mixing bowl and place dough in bowl. Cover with plastic wrap. Refrigerate at least 4 hours.
Lightly flour your hands and pinch off dough. Shape into rounds, place on greased cookie sheet and flatten tops.
Bake at 400º for 10 to 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
