3/4 Cup Butter
3 Cups Chicken Broth
2 Cups Milk (May subdtitute lactose free milk.)

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter then stir in flour and whisk as the roux cooks. Once the roux has cooked, approximately 8 minutes or so, stir in the chicken broth gradually whisking constantly. Then do the same with the milk.

Once this mixture warms up a bit and starts to thicken (stir frequently) stir in the chicken and green Chile. Add salt, pepper and garlic powder. Simmer until ready to eat. Don't let soup get too hot, if it boils it tends to separate.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Teresa: I added some cooked egg noodles, it was a nice touch! If your soup thickens too much add a bit more chicken broth or milk.
