3 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup shortening
2 eggs
1/2 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons lemon juice
6 cups apples
1/4 cup chopped nuts
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup powdered sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together flour and salt into bowl. Cut in shortening. Combine eggs, sour cream and lemon juice. Add to flour mixture. Stir with fork until dough forms a ball. Divide dough in half. Roll on floured board into a rectangle. Place on cookie sheet. Put apples, nuts, sugar, cinnamon and raisins (optional) on dough. Roll out other half of dough, moisten edges and top the pastry. Pinch edges together. Bake at 375º for 40 - 45 minutes. When cool, cut into squares and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
