Gob:
1 c. Crisco
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 cup sour milk (add 1⅓ Tbsp. of vinegar)
2 tsp. vanilla
4 c. flour
½ c. cocoa
2 tsp. salt
1 c. hot water
2 tsp. baking soda

Filling:
2 egg whites
2 tsp. vanilla
4 tsp. flour
4 tsp. milk
4 c. powdered sugar
1 ½ c. Crisco

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening & sugar. Add eggs & beat, then add sour milk @ vanilla. Sift together flour, cocoa & salt. Then add to wet ingredients. Dissolve baking soda in hot water & add. Drop by tsp. onto greased cookie sheet.

Bake at 350º for 8-10 minutes.

Filling: Beat 2 egg whites until stiff. Add 2 tsp. vanilla, 4 tsp. flour, 4 tsp. milk & 2 c. powdered sugar. Beat to a cream & add 1 ½ cups Crisco & 2 more cups powdered sugar. Beat until smooth.

Let the gobs cool and then add the frosting, to make little gob sandwiches.
