1 T. vegetable oil
½ c. onions, finely chopped
2 pounds lean ground beef
¼ cup chili powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 tsp. ground cumin
¼ tsp. ground allspice
¼ tsp. ground cloves
pinch of ground red hot pepper
1 bay leaf
½ ounce unsweetened chocolate
2 (14 oz. each) cans of beef broth
1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
2 T apple cider vinegar
1 lb. cooked spaghetti

Directions:

Heat oil in large saucepan over medium heat. Add onion and cook, stirring frequently, until tender, about 6 minutes. Add beef, cook until browned. Add remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 1.5 hours, stirring occasionally.

The recipe says to refrigerate overnight. Remove the bay leaf. Reheat gently over medium heat and serve over hot spaghetti noodles.
