⅓ c. butter or margarine
¾ c. light brown sugar (firmly packed)
3 eggs
1 c. karo syrup
1 tsp. vanilla
¼ tsp. salt
1 c. pecans - maybe a little more

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and brown sugar. Beat in one egg at a time. Don't over beat them. Stir in karo syrup, vanilla, and salt. Add pecans. Stir gently.

Fill pie crust. Bake in oven at 375º for about 10 minutes and then turn down to 300º and bake for 50 minutes. Shake pie - to test doneness. It should be lightly firm, but not solid. It will get firmer when it cools.
