3 Eggs
1 C Sugar
1 C Milk
4 Tbsp. Butter or Margerine
1 Tbsp. Cocoa
1 Tsp. Vanilla
1 Tbsp. Corn Starch or Flour

Directions:
Directions:
Separate eggs, beat yolks.
Mix sugar, cornstarch, and Cocoa.
Add 1/4 C of Milk to eggs then add the sugar mixture and mix well.
Add vanilla and the remaining milk and melted butter.
Bake at 350 degrees in unbaked pie shell until firm.
Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form, adding 6 tsp. sugar at the end to make a meringue.
Put meringue on baked pie and brown.

This was the recipe that Mother used to make Chocolate Pie which we thought was Dad's favorite since she made it for his birthday for many years. I made it for my Dad after Mother passed away and said "look, I made your favorite pie" to which my Dad responded, "my favorite is coconut!"
