2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. chopped baking apples
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped nuts.

Topping: (mix together)
1/4 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together flour, baking soda, salt, baking powder, and cinnamon; set aside. Cream eggs, sugar and shortening together. Stir into flour ingredients and mix well. Then add apples and mix well. Pour into three 1 lb. well-greased loaf pans. Sprinkle top with topping and bake at 350ºF for 45 minutes to one hour, depending on size of pan used. Remove from oven and put on rack on side to cool.

This was a unique recipe that Dawn found. Apple bread is not too common and it tastes great!!
