1 lb lean ground beef
1 medium Onion chopped
1 green Bell Pepper chopped
4 cans Pork and Beans approx 60 oz total
¾ cup Brown Sugar
1 tablespoon garlic minced
2 tablespoon yellow mustard
2 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
2 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
¾ cup Ketchup
1 cup Barbecue Sauce
12 slices Bacon , chopped

Directions:
Directions:
1. Brown ground beef with onion and pepper.
2. Drain ground beef mixture and add to crock pot.
3. Add remaining ingredients except bacon and stir to mix well.
4. Cut bacon strips into quarters and fry until fat is rendered out and bacon is slightly browned.
5. Add bacon pieces to top of crock pot.
6. Cook on low for 3-4 hours.

Notes
For stove top simmer on low covered for 2-3 hours.
For oven bake at 350 for 40 minutes to 1 hour.

This can be a meal or a side. Some folks commented about adding jalapenos and/or chipotle chili powder to get a little heat. I might try the jalapeno next time. Seems if you add chili powder, then you're making chili with baked beans.
