Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 lb of meat - I used a cheap steak & a package of beef sliced thin from the store
1 cup thin cut-up carrots
1 cup sliced and diced celery
2/3 cup chopped onion
2 cans of stem & pieces mushrooms (I did 2 of the smaller cans)
2 tbsp of Better than Bullion
2 32 oz boxes of beef broth
3 bay leaves
1 box (16 oz) uncooked pearl barley
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 tbsp minced garlic

Directions:
Directions:
Brown the beef and when cooked, put it into the crock pot.
Add the other ingredients except for the pearl barley to the crock pot and cook on high for 2 hours.
Add the barley and cook on high for about an hour then turn it down to low and cook the soup until the vegetables are done.

I had to add more liquid to the soup so I used Better Than Bullion with hot water to get the consistency I wanted.

Personal Notes:
My daughter said I knocked it out of the park. Remember, you can freeze soup if you make too much.
