6 c, strawberries - halved or quartered.
1/3 c. sugar
1/2 c. Grand Marnier
large container of French Vanilla ice cream
1/2 c. any orange liquor, Triple Sec, Cointreau,
Grand Marnier
2 c. heavy cream
3 T. confectionary sugar

Slice, half, quartier or thick slice strawberries
Sprinkle with sugar. Add the 1/2 c. Grand Marnier. Mix well. Refrigerate for at least two hours or until time for service. Allow the ice cream to soften until it is easily folded with a large spoon, but not until it is like milk. Fold in the orange liquor. Refreeze until service. Whip cream with the confectionary sugar and set aside. At time of service set up 10 parfait glasses, Let the ice cream soften a bit for easy scooping. Mix the berries an put about 1/4 c. in each glass, Add a scoop of the ice cream. Then add few more strawberries. Top with a dollop of Whipped cream and a fresh strawberry

Can also use rum in the berries, but not in the ice cream as it is not strong enough to flavor without using a lot of rum. Elegant dessert, easy to make. Enjoy
