1 egg
½ cup water
1 envelope onion soup mix
1½ lbs. ground beef
½ cup uncooked rice
1 -46 oz. can tomato juice
1 tsp. sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Beat egg slightly with water and 2 Tbsps. onion soup mix. Mix lightly with ground beef and ¼ cup rice; shape into 12 balls. Roll in remaining ¼ cup of rice, pressing it lightly into the meat. Boil tomato juice and stir in remaining onion soup mix and sugar. Place meat balls in sauce and cover. Simmer, stirring several times. Cook 50 minutes or until rice puffs out around meat and is tender.
