1/2 C. butter, softened
1/2 C. light olive oil
1 C. packed lt. brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 can SOLO almond filling
4 C. flour
1/2 t. baking soda
1/4 t. salt
1 C. slivered, toasted almonds
1 t. almond extract

Directions:
Directions:
Pre-heat oven to 350.
Cream together butter, oil and brown sugar. Add eggs and blend well. Add almond filling and extract and blend well. Stir in flour, baking powder and salt. Stir in slivered almonds. Divide dough in half and shape each into a log. Bake on parchment paper lined cookie sheets for 35 minutes. Remove cookie logs from oven and cool for 10 minutes. Cut logs into cookie slices and place back on pans, leaving spaces between cookies. Lower oven to 325 and bake for 20 more minutes. Cool on wire racks.
