Ingredients:  
1 small jar of honey
85 ( canada mints) peppermints
3 quads water
8 Sumac heads
8 Golden rods
8 cups of sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Boil water, add sumac and golden rod. Boil for 1/2 hour.
Strain in a cheesecloth.
Take 4 cups of juice and melt peppermints, then melt sugar. Add honey stir till melted.
Put in jars or bottles.
Keep in fridge.

This recipe dates back from Irene Thibeault's family and was taught by the American Indians for cough's , sniffles and soar throats.
