1 c. oleo
1 c. molasses
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. water
5 c. flour
2 t. baking soda
2 t. cinnamon
1 t. cloves
1/4 t. nutmeg
1 t. salt


2 lb. 10x sugar
6 T. butter
1/2 c. milk
2 t. vanilla

Cream oleo & sugar together - push to 1 side of bowl. Beat eggs in the other side of bowl & blend mixture. Mix molasses with water in another bowl add baking soda. Sift dry ingredients. Add alternately with liquid - beating only enough to mix. Drop by rounded spoonfuls on a cookie sheet. Bake at 375 for 8 - 10 minutes.

ICING - Mix together & ice cookies when cool.
