8 APPLES PEELED AND SLICED (USE TART APPLES LIKE GRANNY SMITH)
1 CUP WATER
1 3/4 CUP SUGAR
8 TBSP CLEAR JEL
1 TSP APPLE PIE SPICE OR 3/4 TSP CINNAMON, 1/4 TSP NUTMEG
1 TBSP BUTTER

MAKES 1 - 9" PIE

MIX SUGAR AND CLEAR GEL TOGETHER ADD SPICES.
PLACE APPLES IN A KETTLE AND ADD WATER, BRING TO A BOIL WITH LID ON. COOK UNTL THE APPLES BECOME SOFT AND TRANSPARENT. ADD SUGAR MIXTURE AND COOK UNTIL THICK. COOL AND PLACE IN A PREPARED PIE SHELL TOP WITH 2ND CRUST AND BAKE

BAKE AT 375 FOR 60 MINUTES
