2 c. sugar
2 sq. butter (1 cup)
4 eggs separated
4 sq. melted unsweetened chocolate
1 c. milk
2 c. softasilk Cake flour
2 t. vanilla
1 t. salt
nuts if desired

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar. Add one egg yolk at a time and beat well after each. Add chocolate & vanilla. Beat. Add milk and flour alternately. Fold in beaten egg whites. Bake at 350 about 45 min. (put in oven as soon as possible) I use a 9 x 13 pan (can use two layer cake pans) Frost with the following cooked fudge frosting:
Minute fudge frosting
2 c. sugar
1/4 c. light corn syrul
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. butter
2 sq unsweetened chocolate (cut up)
1/4 tsp. salt
1 t. vanilla
Mix all ingredients (except vanilla) in heavy sauce pan. Stir over low heat until chocolate and butter melt. Bring to a full rolling boil, stirring constantly. Boil 1 minute. Remove from heat and beat until lukewarm. Stir in vanilla. Beat until spreading consistency.
