1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 ¾ cup flour
1 tsp. baking soda
½ tsp. salt
½ cup shortening
⅓ cup peanut butter
½ cup sugar + ¼ cup for rolling cookies
½ cup light brown sugar
1 bag of "chocolate buds" -- Hershey Kisses
Directions:

Preheat over to 375º. Combine egg and vanilla in a large bowl. Blend in remaining ingredients, and mix well. Shape into balls, and roll in sugar to coat the ball. Bake in oven for 8 minutes. Remove and press in "chocolate buds" until cookie cracks. Put back in to oven for an additional 2 to 5 minutes (until golden brown).
