Personal Notes:
When preparing strawberry cake one must feel confident. If the preparer of the strawberry cake is barren, the dish will come out flavorless. The faint whirr of the mixing machine told her it was alive like a newborn babe. The mixed up batter is placed in a baking tray to cook. The batter has lemon and vanilla extract, as well as sugar to taste. It is advisable to add a little more vanilla than you normally would, since your making a dessert. A good dessert that's worth something has do be sweet without being overwhelming. The moment Allison finished the compote to top the cake, the smell of strawberries and lemon transported her to a moment of serenity. The feeling of the first bite is like an angel's kiss.
