2 sticks Mrs Filbert’s margarine, softened
1 small can Pet milk
2 cups Swan’s Down cake flour
Pinch of salt
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cream margarine and add sugar. Beat until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Blend in salt with cake flour. Alternately add flour and milk, beating well after each addition. Add vanilla. Pour in greased and floured tube pan. Bake for 25 minutes at 275º and then 40 minutes at 300º. Cool on wire rack. Cover when cake is completely cool.

This is most famous pound cake recipe using all her favorite ingredients. Mamma would always cook this pound cake a couple of days ahead, let it cool and cover it with foil for two days. It is absolutely delicious!
