1 qt water
Finely grated zest and juice of 1 lemon
Finely grated zest and juice of 1 lime
Finely grated zest and juice of two oranges
3 large(5-inch) Cinnamon sticks broken into small pieces
2 tbsp dried bitter orange peel
2 tsp coriander seed
¼ tsp finely grated nutmeg
1 tsp gum arabic
2 lbs sugar
¼ c browning sauce such as kitchen bouquet
½ tsp vanilla extract

1. To make syrup combine the water, lemon zest, lime zest, orange zest, cinnamon, bitter orange peel, coriander seed, nutmeg, and gum arabic in a large saucepan whisk together until the gum arabic dissolves stir in the sugar and bring to a boil stirring until the sugar dissolves for 1 minute.

2. Remove from the heat and stir in the lemon, lime , and orange juices along with the browning sauce and vanilla let cool then strain this syrup will keep in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

3.To mix with seltzer pour ½ cup cola syrup into a tall glass, add 1 ½ cups seltzer and stir until just blended, add ice and serve.

When preparing cola one must feel dignified. If the person preparing cola is feral and ravenous, the dish will come out freaky. This drink causes a burst of fizzy flavor to erupt in your mouth with every sip. The cold refreshing chill that comes over one who consumes this beverage is like being transported to the north pole. Take care when mixing the cola syrup and seltzer, for if the balance of the two is disturbed one can be stuck in an unending sugar coma. Cola has the ability to cool you down even on the hottest of days, don't miss out on this chilled refreshing trip for nothing is better than that first sip.
