2 cups milk
1 Tbsp yeast
1/2 cup butter or shortening
1/4 cup + 2 Tbsp sugar
1/2 Tbsp salt
2 eggs beaten
1 cup mashed potatoes
5-6 cups flour

Center - soften and mix
1 1/2 cubes butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 Tbsp cinnamon
2 Tbsp cream cheese

Icing - soften and mix
butter, powdered sugar and vanilla (I added about 1tsp of milk)

Scald milk (about 2 1/2 minutes in the microwave) then cool to lukewarm
Dissolve yeast in 2 Tbsp warm water (between 100-110º) and 1/4 tsp sugar and set aside.
In a large mixing bowl combine butter, sugar, salt, beaten eggs and mashed potatoes and mix until smooth. Add yeast, milk and gradually add in the flour. Mix until the dough doesn’t stick to a rubber spatula and the dough doesn’t stick to the sides. Cover with a damp cloth until doubled in size.

Punch down and divide into two parts. Roll each part into a rectangle (maybe 10X15). Spread center mixture on the dough almost to the edges. Jelly roll and slice into 1 1/2 inch slices and place on a greased cookie sheet. Cover and let rise again. Bake at 375º for 12-15 minutes.
Frost and enjoy!
