1 cup shortening
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 eggs
2¼ cups sifted flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1½ cups M&M's plain chocolate candies

Directions:
Directions:
Blend shortening and sugars. Beat in vanilla and eggs. Sift remaining dry ingredients together; add to the sugar and egg mixture. Mix well. Stir in 1/2 cup sliced M & M's. Roll into balls and add remaining whole M&M's on top. Drop from teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 375º for 10-12 minutes, until golden brown.
