2 cups squash (butternut if available)
3 Tbls. butter
1 yellow onion, diced
4 cups chicken broth
1 tsp. dried basil
1 tsp. dried marjoram
1 tsp. black pepper
1/3 tsp cayenne pepper
1 8oz. pkg cream cheese, softened

Directions:
Directions:
Bake squash and scoop out of shell. Heat butter in a saucepan and add onion, cook and stir until tender. Add chicken broth, basil, marjoram, black pepper and cayenne to pan and heat through.

Scoop squash in a blender. Add about 1/2 cup chicken broth mixture and cream cheese. Blend until smooth. Mix squash mixture and remaining broth in a crock pot and heat through. DO NOT boil
