6 extra large eggs
1-1/2 c. milk
1 c. half and half
1-1/4 t. pure vanilla
1/2 t. cinnamon
1/2 t. nutmeg
Bread slices,
Butter for bottom of pan.

1-1/2 c. light brown sugar
1-1/2 stick butter
1-1/2 c. finely chopped walnuts
3 T. light karo syrup

Butter generously a 13 x 9 glass pan. Line with double layer of bread slices that have crusts removed. Fit bread tightly with no spaces in between. Mix in bowl eggs, milk, half and half, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Pour over bread. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

In the morning, top with the mixture of brown sugar, butter, walnuts, and Karo syrup.

Bake 1 hr. at 350 degrees. This usually boils over, so put aluminum foil under pan.
