Frosting:

1/3 cup milk
1 stick of butter
3 1/2 tablespoons cocoa
2 2/3 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla

Brownies:
2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 stick butter
3 1/2 tablespoon cocoa
1/2 cup crisco
1/2 cup water

Brownies................................Oven 400 ... 20 minutes
Mix 2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt

In a pan:
1 stick butter
3 1/2 tablespoon cocoa
1/2 cup crisco
1/2 cup water
Bring to a boil ...then pour into flour, sugar mixture

Beating with mixer slowly mix 2 eggs, 1 teaspoon vanilla, (1 cup buttermilk to which 1 teaspoon of soda has been added.

Pour into greased cake pan


Choc Frosting
1/3 cup milk
1 stick of butter
3 1/2 tablespoons cocoa
Bring to a boil & add 2 2/3 cup powdered sugar & 1 teaspoon vanilla ( you can add chopped nuts)
Stir and pour over cake

Pour the frosting on the brownies as soon as the Brownie's come out of the oven. It will cool and harden a little.
