2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking powder
dash salt (1/2 tsp)
4 tsp. lard, bacon grease or shortening
1 lb. beef chuck roast
1 onion, chopped
1 qt. tomato juice

Directions:
Directions:
Blend ingredients as if for pie crust. Add water to make a soft dough. Roll out to 1/8 in., thick & cut into 1-1/2 in. squares.

Cook about 10 min. in beef broth & tomatoes.

To make beef broth cook 1 lb. beef chuck, onion & 1qt. of tomato juice, season with salt & pepper, cook until tender.

Add enough water to make about 2 qts. of liquid. I usually shred the beef and put back into the pot.
