Micki's Sweet & Sour Meatballs Recipe

1 lb. ground beef
1 raw onion, diced
1 egg
breadcrumbs
salt
oil
1 can tomato soup
1 can tomato sauce
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 Tb. lemon juice

Directions:
Directions:
Mix egg, breadcrumbs, salt, ground beef, and half of the onion. Form into tiny meatballs. Place the meatballs in a Pyrex baking dish.

Preheat oven to 350ºF.

Brown remaining onion in oil. Add tomato soup, tomato sauce, brown sugar, and lemon juice. Mix well. Cook 1-2 minutes.

Pour sauce over meatballs. Bake for 1 hour.

This recipe is from Micki Schneider. I modified it just a little bit by removing the margarine. (Her recipe calls for margarine to sauté the onion and also pats of margarine on top of the meatballs to finish them.)
