2½ c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
¼ c. shortening
½ c. sugar
1 egg
1½ c. sour cream
1 c. raisins
1 T. caraway seeds
½ c. walnuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Sift flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt together. Set aside.

In a mixing bowl cream shortening and sugar. Add egg and sour cream and stir. Mix in dry ingredients. Add raisins, caraway seeds and walnuts, if using. Batter will be stiff.

Bake in greased loaf pan for 50-60 minutes or until done. Cool in pan for 10 minutes before removing to cool completely.
