2 c. brown sugar
1½ c. sugar
1 c. evaporated milk
1 Tb. vanilla
4 c. pecan pieces
1/2 c. butter
pinch of salt

Directions:
Directions:
In a deep, heavy pot, combine sugars, milk, and butter.

Boil to soft ball stage (235º F), about 15 minutes.

Remove from heat. Add vanilla and pecans. Beat approximately 2 minutes or until the mixture begins to thicken. (If overbeaten, mixture will turn to sugar.)

Drop from a large serving spoon onto wax paper.

Cool.
