1 gallon baked pea beans
1/4 c. of dried onions
1/2 chopped thick bacon
2+ cups of dark brown sugar
1 - 28oz. Of Heinz Ketchup

Directions:
Directions:
When beans opened skim off juice on top. Line a 12x17x2 pan with heavy aluminum foil. Put beans, onion, bacon, and 1/2 brown sugar and 1/2 ketchup in pan and mix with rubber spatula. Mix well. Smooth out beans. Put rest of ketchup on top and cover top. Sprinkle brown sugar on top - all over. DO NOT STIR.

Bake 350°F for 1 hour to 1 1/4 hrs. Take out of oven and let stand 20 to 30 minutes. The beans will thicken. Can be kept in large cooler to hold an hour until needed.
