1/2 c butter, softened
1 c sugar
1 or 2 egg yolks
1 T milk
1/2 t vanilla
1/2 t salt
1 t baking powder
1 1/2 c flour
Directions:
Directions:
Beat sugar, eggs, milk, vanilla and butter until creamy.
Add rest of ingredients.
Mix well.
To roll out cookies, add 1/4 cup more flour to stiffen dough.
Wrap dough in plastic wrap or plastic bag.
Chill at least 1 hour.
Roll dough 1/4 “ thick on floured surface.
Dip cookie cutters in flour, and place cut outs on cookie sheet.
Bake 375° for 8 to 10 minutes until edges are golden.
Allow to cool on tray.
Once cool, decorate as you wish.
I use the squeeze decorating tubes. I put the color on a dish and mix with a bit of water.
Paint the designs on the cookie!
Or frosting and decals.
