1/2 c. brown sugar, 1 c. white sugar, 1/2 c. shortening, 2 eggs, 1 c. sour cream, 1/2 tsp. salt, 2 tsp. cinnamon, 1 tsp. baking powder, 2 1/4 c. flour, 2 c. raw apple pared and grated. Topping: 1/4 c. each of brown and white sugar, 1/2 tsp. cinnamon, 1/2 c. chopped walnuts.

In a mixing bowl cream together shortening and sugars. Add the remaining ingredients. Pour into a greased and floured tube pan. Combine topping ingredients and sprinkle on top. Bake at 350º for 50-60 minutes.
