25 lbs of apples
2 cups of apple cider
2 cups brown sugar
1 cup maple syrup
3 TBSP cinnamon
1 TBSP nutmeg
2 tsp clove
2- 11 oz packaged of kraft caramels
2 tbsp half and half
2 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
1. peel, core and slice apples into a large 18 qt roaster
2. add apple cider, sugar, maple syrup and spices
3. cook on 250 degrees until apples are soft about 8 hours or so
4. blend apples until smooth puree. I use my Vitamix. You can use a food processor or immersion blender.
5. put back into roaster, cook down until it is thick usually takes another 8 hours or so.
6. melt caramels with 2 TBSP half and half,once melted stir in your salt, add into your apple butter.
7. Jar into pint jars and water bath for 15 minutes.
