1 (5 lb) Rib Roast bone in
Coat with Salt, pepper Garlic Powder

Directions:

Allow meat to stat at room temp for 1 hour
Preheat oven to 375
Rub meat with seasonings place roast on a rack in the pan with rib side down and fatty side up.
Roast for 1 hour
Turn oven off DO NOT OPEN OVEN DOOR for 3 hours
About 30-40 min before serving turn oven back on at 375 and DO NOT OPEN DOOR

Tim and I have tried several recipes but this is really the best. You can add other seasonings but this is really good just like this. We fix this for Thanksgiving when we can bake a lot of our meal in our other oven. We have used our friends oven before if they are gone. I ALWAYS TAPE THE OVEN SHUT so no one forgets-ha !!
