1/2 C Soft Butter
1 C Sugar
2 C Sifted Flour (you can just run a fork through it)
4 tsp Baking Powder
1/2 tsp Salt
1 C Milk
1 or 2 quarts Bottled Peaches, Apricots, etc

Drain the juice from fruit and mix 3 C fruit juice with 1/4 C Sugar.

Cream butter and sugar. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk. Pour all batter into a lightly greased 9x13 pan. Spoon the drained fruit over batter (place it turned over so it looks pretty), then carefully pour the juice mixture over the batter and fruit. The cake will come up over the fruit and will get nice and crusty. Bake 350* for 45-60 minutes. Check cake with a toothpick. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
