8 1/2 oz. can of pineapple slices
2 tbs. butter or margarine
1/2 pack of packed brown sugar
4 halved marachino cherries
1 plg. yellow or white cake mix

Directions:
Directions:
Take a small strainer to drain juice off of pineapples
putting the juice aside. Halve pineapple slices crosswise. Melt butter in a 1 1/2 inch baking pan. Stir in brown sugar and 1 tbs of the pineapple juice.Arrange pineapples and cherries in bottom of pan. In a med. mixing bowl prepare cake mix according to pkg. directions substituiting pineapple juice with water added to make enough if necessary for liquid called for. Carefully spread batter over pineapple layer in the pan. Bake in preheated oven at 350* for about 40 mins. or until cake is tested done. Cool on a wire raack and cool for 5 mins. then turn over
