½ c butter, room temp
1 c sugar
2 eggs
1 c all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
½ tsp ground cloves
2 apples - peeled, cored and chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Lightly grease a 8x4 loaf pan.

In a bowl, mix the butter and sugar until smooth and creamy. Beat in the eggs.

In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, salt and spices. Mix into the butter mixture until moistened. Fold in the apples. Transfer to the prepared loaf pan.

Bake 1 hour in the preheated oven, until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in the pan for 15 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.

This is yummy!
I haven't tried it but I can imagine it will make great french toast.
