Ingredients:  
Fruit Mixture
Boil and dissolve 1 1/4 cup sugar and 3/4 cup water
Mix 1/4 cup water and 2 tbsp cornstarch and thicken with the above
Mix 6-7 cups of fruit (cut into 1/2" pieces) mix with above mixture
Set mixture aside

Dough Mixture
Mix 1/2 lb soft butter and 2/3 cup sugar
Add 1 egg and 1 tsp vanilla and mix with the above
Mix 1 cup flour and 3 1/4 tsp baking powder and add to the above
Add another 2 cups of flour to above until crumbly
Place 2/3 of mixture on bottom of 9 x 13" pan and lightly pat down in pan
Sprinkle some flour over the dough
Add fruit mixture

Topping Dough Mixture (Streusel)
Mix 2 tbsp slivered almonds and 2 tbsp sugar to 1/3 of remaining dough
Sprinkle dough on top of fruit mixture
Bake 20 - 25 minutes at 350 degrees
