1 cup warm water
2 tsp sugar
2 tbsp yeast
3 eggs
1 cup milk
1 cup warm water
5 tbsp margarine
2 tsp salt
1/2 cup sugar
3 tbsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp each of cloves, nutmeg, allspice
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 -1 cup glazed mixed fruit.
10-12 cups of flour

Mix warm water with sugar. Add yeast - don’t stir… let rise til double in size. Mix eggs, milk, water, sugar, margarine, raisins, fruit and spices. Add yeast solution to liquid mixture. Gradually add flour, mixing with wooden spoon until soft dough forms. Leave in bowl and let rise in draft free place (i.e. tea towel covered on room temperature counter). Let rise until about double in size - approx 40min - 1 hr. Punch down dough. Let rise again until double in size. When risen enough, pull dough, fold into smaller buns, and placed on greased cookie sheet. Cut "X" with scissors, on top of each bun. Let rise a third time. When risen, bake in oven at 350 degrees F for 25-30 minutes. May drizzle with icing in cross ("X" ) when cool.
