2½ cups flour
3 tsp. baking powder
2 cups sugar
½ cup butter or lard
2 eggs
1 cup sweet milk

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together the flour and baking powder. Combine butter and sugar in a bowl and cream thoroughly. Add well beaten eggs and beat. Add milk and sifted dry ingredients alternately. Set aside and make lower part.

Ingredients:

1 beaten egg
1 lemon (grated rind & juice)
1 cup sugar
2 tsp. flour
1 cup water
1 cup molasses

Directions:
Directions:
Combine all ingredients for bottom of pie. Pour into unbaked pie shells. Spoon top batter over this mixture. Bake at 350 for 35-40 minutes.
