3 c. flour
1 T. baking powder
½ tsp. salt
¼ c. milk
1½ c. warm water

Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl. Add milk and mix well.

Add warm water, a little at a time. Knead the dough until it is soft but not sticky.
Cover the bowl and let it stand for about 15 minutes.

Make balls of dough, sized about 2 to 3 inches, and roll them out into pancakes about ¼-inch thick.

Melt some lard or shortening in a frying pan. Fry the dough until bubbles appear. Turn them over, and fry until golden brown.
