1 3/4 c flour
2 c sugar
3/4/ c cocoa powder
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
3/4 tsp salt
2 eggs
1 c buttermilk
1/2 c butter
1 tbsp vanilla
1 c hot coffee

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat to 350. Grease and flour 2 9-inch baking pans and set aside. In a large mixing bowl, stir together flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, and salt. Add eggs, buttermilk, melted butter, and vanilla and beat until smooth (about 3 minutes on high). Stir in the hot coffee with a rubber spatula. Batter will be very runny. Pour the batter evenly between the two pans and bake on middle rack of the oven for about 35 minutes until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean with just a few moist crumbs attached. Allow to cool in pans for 15 minutes, then remove from pans and allow to rest for 1 hr before assembling and icing the cake.
